AMERICA ONLINE (AOL)
Macintosh
  1. On the AOL toolbar, click My AOL.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Click WWW.
  4. In the Maximum Cache Size field, type 40 MB.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click the Web Graphics tab.
  7. Uncheck the Use compressed graphics checkbox.
  8. Click OK.

Windows
  1. Windows
  2. On the AOL toolbar, click My AOL.
  3. Click Preferences.
  4. Click Graphics.
  5. In the Maximum Disk Space field, type 40 MB.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click on WWW.
  8. Click the Web Graphics tab.
  9. Uncheck the Use compressed graphics checkbox.
  10. Click Apply.
  11. Click the General tab.
  12. In the Temporary Internet Files area, click Settings.
  13. In the Check for newer versions on stored pages area, click Every visit to the page.
  14. Click OK twice, as prompted.
  15. Close the Preferences window.
INTERNET EXPLORER
Macintosh
  1. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
  2. In the Web Browser section in the left frame, click Advanced.
  3. In the Cache area, in the Update pages section, click Always.
  4. In the Cache area, in the Size field, type 40.
  5. Click OK.
Windows(before IE 5.0)
  1. From the Tools menu, choose Internet Options.... The General tab is frontmost.
  2. In the Temporary Internet files area, click Settings....
  3. In the Check for newer versions of stored pages area, click the Every visit to the page checkbox.
  4. In the Temporary Internet files folder area, move the slider until the number in the MB field is at least 40.
  5. Click OK twice, as prompted.
Windows(IE 5.0 and Above)
  1. From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.... The General tab is frontmost.
  2. In the Temporary Internet Files area, click Settings.
  3. In the Check for newer versions of stored pages area, click the Every visit to the page checkbox.
  4. In the Temporary Internet files folder area, move the slider until the number in the MB field is at least 40.
  5. Click OK twice, as prompted.
NETSCAPE
Macintosh
  1. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences....
  2. In the left frame, scroll down the menu bar to Advanced.
  3. Click Cache.
  4. In the Page in cache is compared to page on network area, click the Every time radio button.
  5. Click OK.
Windows
  1. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences....
  2. In the left frame, scroll down the menu bar to Category, then Advanced.
  3. In the Advanced section, click Cache.
  4. In the Document in cache is compared to document on network area, click the Every time radio button.
  5. Click OK.
